The Acre’s process of design is centered around listening. We believe that seeing and listening from both sides is the only way to achieve a great design solution. The Acre logo is a representation and reminder of this for us.
Leadership Culture
We believe that every project can be a leader in its context and community. Leadership culture is also part of our design and office culture and its how we approach collaboration and teamwork internally.

Transformational Change
Our vision is to create 100 Transformational Stories by the year 2030. If we are to have an impact in our communities, then we have to create change together. The projects may be small or they may be large, but they must create a positive change and that’s what motivates us.
Climate Neutrality
Canada has set ambitious targets for Net-Zero Emissions by 2050. To get there we need to adapt a ‘climate neutral’ approach to designing and constructing buildings. Acre also has become a certified Carbon Neutral company to help do our part in aligning our sustainable vision with our future.
Fun
The creative process works best in a positive environment and we believe that the design process can, and should, be a fun one. Charles and Ray Eames said to ‘take your pleasure seriously’, and we agree.
