THE PARC – THIRDSHIFT 2015

Part recreation, part urbanism, The Park is an undefined and unobtrusive environment that allows the public to meander and experience this underused lane within Saint John’s dense urban core as they would a traditional park. This idea is a concept model for a long term urban initiative Acre is proposing for the Trinity Royal area and more specifically the intersection of Grannan Lane and Canterbury Street. Acre recognizes the incredible character and uniquely raw quality of our urban landscapes, as such we propose ‘THE PARK’. We wish to show how people can explore the ins and outs of our urban environments and how they can be thought of and experienced from an entirely new perspective in a way that celebrates people and puts their priority over that of the car. By allowing people a new perspective and speed in which to view the architecture, its our goal to revitalized a piece of Saint John’s past – and maybe future.
