Third Shift was an opportunity for the Acre to inspire people to re evaluate the potential of our overlooked urban spaces. LePARC demonstrated how small-scale interventions with an emphasis on play and community can have a transformative effect on the vibrancy of our urban neighborhoods. By injecting play throughout the Uptown, Acre believes we can create more animated and healthy neighborhoods that are more inclusive for all ages. We see these types of interventions being particularly powerful in neighborhoods situated in the south end of the peninsula where play can be used as a means to better integrate these areas into the active public realm of Saint John – WE ARE WHAT WE CREATE- .
