			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Stephen Kopp, Monica Adair, John Leroux, Jessie Croll﻿ and Alicia Halas﻿ of Acre Architects have been selected as a regional winner for the Maritimes <a href="http://migratinglandscapes.ca/">Migrating Landscapes</a> competition in Halifax&#8230;&#8230;<a href="http://theacre.ca/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/tom-the-acre.jpg">YES</a>!  The project will now move on to the national competition in Winnipeg this March and have a chance to represent Canada as part of the Venice Biennale in Architecture in August.  Thanks to the team for all the hard work and great dialogue.<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>When Acre associate <a href="http://theacre.ca/acre-collective/john/">John Leroux</a> isn&#8217;t designing, he&#8217;s writing.  John <span style="font-family: Arial;"> launched his new book, </span><em><span style="font-family: Arial;">Glorious Light: The Stained Glass of Fredericton</span></em><span style="font-family: Arial;"> on November 3rd at the </span><span style="font-family: Arial;"><a href="http://www.beaverbrookartgallery.org/exhibition-show.asp?exhibition_id=395">Beaverbrook Art Gallery</a> in Fredericton</span><span style="font-family: Arial;">. Published by Gaspereau Press, it is filled with full colour photographs and </span><span><span><span style="font-family: Arial;">is unique in Canada as it is the first comprehensive study of any Canadian city&#8217;s stained glass heritage. As photographer and author, John also curated and designed a corresponding exhibition at the gallery that can be viewed until January 8, 2012.<br />
