We are what we create.
Contemporary architecture is history in the making – the places we build today will shape our region’s legacy and become the identity of who we are for generations to come. As we invest in our cultural heritage, it is vital to do so with purpose, for ultimately – we are what we create. Building East delivers selected works by Saint John, New Brunswick’s Acre Architects that challenge us to think differently about how we define ourselves through built projects and how we can create authentic environments.
Through scaled models, photography and written commentary the exhibition encourages the viewer to enter into a dialogue about our built environment.
The Acre’s approach to contemporary architecture engages craft, sustainability, critical regionalism and a meaningful relationship to site in order to create spaces that matter.
